Dining Membership Hacks

No new news here! The BEST way to stay on track with your academic AND wellness goals simultaneously is to have a meal membership. No doubt about it. Whether you live on or off campus or you’re a staff or faculty member, we have a variety of meal memberships that have been designed just for you!

OSPREY CAFÉ

With a focus on health & wellness, the Osprey Café is your one-stop shop for all your culinary cravings. We have all sorts of different cuisines to accommodate your lifestyle! And, not only do you have a Registered Dietitian available at your disposal, but you end up saving lots of $$$ in the long run.

DYK? Each meal swipe counts as one all-access pass to our all-you-care-to-eat facility. Additionally, you’ll get to enjoy a variety of resident programming including themed meals, special events and access to our very own Registered Dietitian (but you already knew that 😉).

Have questions on how to use your membership? Check out this video:

TYPES OF MEMBERSHIPS

All access memberships give you unlimited entry into the Osprey Cafe only, during the hours that the facility is open. All access memberships are not granted meal swipes, but rather dining dollars are loaded on your Osprey Card to be used at our other dining locations on campus.

Weekly memberships (10 meals, 14 meals, and 19 meals per week) are given only one meal per meal period, except for the all-access memberships which allow for unrestricted access to the Osprey Cafe during the hours the Osprey Cafe facility is open. Dining dollars are also loaded onto your Osprey Card to be used at our other dining locations on campus. Any meals and any Dining Dollars remaining at the end of the semester will expire.

FTIC students living in university housing are required to purchase an All-Access or Meals Per Week Memberships.

Our block memberships were originally designed to satisfy the unique needs of commuter students. Block memberships are a great value for anyone who wants to save time & money with dining on campus. With no weekly resets, you are free to use your meals throughout the term as you see fit, as opposed to weekly memberships. You still get the same meal exchange credit, dining dollars, and access to all membership perks.

And, we would never forget about our hardworking Faculty and Staff members! We offer a significant discount on the door rate for the Osprey Cafe as well as guest swipes. You also have the option to choose payroll deductions and easy access to our catering department. Your membership also includes access to our special events and our nutrition services with the Registered Dietitian.

Still wondering which membership is right for you? Check out this video:

DINING DOLLARS VS. OZZIE BUCKS

All memberships are integrated with your Osprey1Card and come with dining dollars (to be used at other dining locations on campus) for cashless convenience that is easy to track and reload. That’s different than Ozzie Bucks which money that you have uploaded to your Osprey1Card account from your bank, cash or credit card. Ozzie bucks are accepted around the UNF campus such as the library, laundry facilities, parking services, student wellness center, bookstore, and more.

Meal swipes are a benefit for those with a weekly or block membership. Meal swipes can be used around campus in place of going to the Osprey Café, thus you are foregoing your one meal at the Café and using a $5.20 credit towards another meal around campus. Remember, weekly and block memberships are given only one meal per meal period.
